Jenny told me she selected Meadowlark Botanical Gardens for their engagement session location because 1. they had never been before and wanted to explore it (how FUN!) and 2. she wanted lots of green (what an easy box to check here!). With those being her only requirements, it seemed like Meadowlark would be the perfect backdrop for their engagement session. But what they didn’t know was just how perfect and dreamy it would be!
If you’ve never been before, I highly recommend visiting on a warm spring afternoon so you can fully enjoy the beautiful blooming florals, lush trees, and gorgeous water features. Admission is $6.00 a person and is easily payable at the front desk. If you plan on taking professional photos there (and I can’t recommend this enough *cough cough – message me to book your session!!), there is also a photography permit fee of $50.00.
Enough of these details though – we’re all here for the photos!!
We began our session walking through some of the trails and enjoying lush trees, full ferns, the the most vibrant spring blooms. This was a scene straight out of a fairytale!
We ventured next into the Bonsai Pavilion and Korean Bell Garden – both breathtaking features in the garden.
The couple spent some loving moments on this park bench while I was able to observe from afar. In all honesty, this is one of my favorite photos from this session.
We ventured back to the Visitor Center at this point so the could change outfits into some fun summer colors, and I just have to say, I LOVE Jenny’s bright green dress!
Finally, we ended their engagement session with a fun race to the water and some frolicking on a large, grassy hill.
If you’re looking for a gorgeous backdrop and a fun garden to explore, you should consider Meadowlark Botanical Gardens for your engagement session. If you have any questions or would like to book me, simply fill out the contact form on my website!
