Brittany and Uno's mid-summer wedding was the perfect mix of classic and chic. They were married at the DC War Memorial, and celebrated late into the night at RMP Italian, a staple date-night-favorite of theirs.
Brittany and Uno opted to have a first look on the rooftop of their hotel, with family gathered nearby. Following this, they chose to drive around their favorite spots in DC in order to get newlywed photos at all of their favorite spots, including their first data locations, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and Tidal Basin. The rode together to the DC War Memorial, where they met family and friends alike for their love-filled ceremony.
Staying true to their intent to root the day in things that "felt like themselves", the couple invited their guests to join in an incredible and delicious reception and dinner at RPM Italian, followed by a fun filled dance floor.
Throughout the day, Brittany's joyous laughter rang out reminding me why I love photographing weddings so much. The happiness overflowed and her smile was contagious, touching absolutely everyone around her.
For the soon-to-be-weds out there reading this, this is your reminder (from me and the most joyful bride I've ever met), do what makes you the most happy. This is your (and your partner's day). Root it in activities, friends, family, and food that represent you. Make yourself comfortable and happy.
